The partnership, which will be beneficial not only to both sides, but to gamblers as well, could be one of the biggest collaborations in the casino market today, online and off.

A huge number of high-level executives met to discuss the partnership, among other things. Among the participants were CEO of Party Gaming Jim Ryan, CEO of MGM Mirage Jim Murren, President George Maloof of Palms, CEO of WMS Industries Brian Gamache, Chairman of International Game Technology Phil Satre, a number of slot machine manufacturers, and a number of other bigwigs in the online and land-based casino industry. The meeting was hosted by Union Gaming Group at The Playboy Club.

One of the prime topics of discussion was the future of the online casino and gambling industry. Brought forth was the idea that Party Gaming, and other online gaming companies, could provide land-based casinos with better customer tracking and player information. Online casinos have invested a lot in creating state-of-the-art tools for tracking customers. Party Gaming CEO Ryan said, "We utilize technology for e-commerce and can capture player information on a far better scale." The partnering of Party Gaming and other online casino companies with land-based casinos seems inevitable.

The UIGEA anti-online gambling bill was also a topic of discussion, as Ryan said he feels that this bill only succeeds losing the US Government valuable taxable dollars.
