Gaming Technology Solutions Acquired by Playtech

Playtech, industry leader in online gaming software, has announced that it is acquiring GTS.

Gaming Technology Solutions Limited (GTS) has made recent leaps and bounds to the forefront of the gaming software industry. Playtech's acquisition is one of great importance.

Playtech is acquiring GTS by way of purchasing the entire issued share capital of the company. Their first payment is for around €10.8 million. Playtech will continue to make payments to GTS over two years, based upon the profitability of the company. However, the maximum amount that Playtech will pay is €21.6 million.

GTS currently provides services to 30 different Internet gaming brands and 15 licensees, including popular European sports books, online casino operators and online bingo sites. GTS offers its customers gaming content from 19 different gaming software providers and includes over 200 games, including slots, table games, fixed odds games and virtual sports. Most of GTS's licensees are not already working with Playtech, so Playtech is greatly expanding through this acquisition.

GTS games and the GTS platform will serve to complement Playtech's already existing products, creating one of the most substantial libraries of online gaming products on the Web. GTS and Playtech will merge to form one of the biggest giants in online gaming software. The Business Development Director of GTS, Steven Matsell, says, "This deal will underpin the growth of the platform and we very much look forward to the future as part of the Playtech team."
