The State of Nevada has issued a warning to all land based casinos operating mainly in Las Vegas not to get involved with online gambling of any kind until federal legislation is passed that will make online casino gambling legal. The reason for this surprising statement is rumors that several of the biggest land based casinos in Las Vegas have already affiliated themselves with online casino operators in order to make the smooth transition into the online gaming industry once Congress decides to license and regulate the industry.

Among the first to go into the online business is Harrah’s Casino, which has already developed its own gambling branch, apart from the online casino they already own, which accepts bets from residents outside the US. Because of this, relationships between land based casinos in Las Vegas and online casino operators are being investigated by the Nevada regulators.

It is rumored that even 888.com is working with Harrah’s and that they are providing the software for Harrah’s online casino.
